Just yesterday, I found a bag in the storage room with 9 old, large full circle Drunkard's Path blocks. Ugly Drunkard Path blocks. The fabrics didn't match, they clashed in most cases, and were much too busy (like two competing florals). Since I make lots of donation quilts, I thought about taking them all apart and putting better, calmer choices together but I hesitated to do all that work. Then, this morning, what do do but find your show with Mary Kerr talking about repurposing vintage Drunkard's Path blocks? I went back to my seam ripper. I will have a total of 72 usable blocks and can make 3 wheelchair lap robes for my doctor to give her homebound and hospice patients. Thank you for the incentive to keep going. Three people are going to get gifts soon thanks to Mary.
